Reset Softkeys

With the PSII in a stand-by condition, push the Scroll Down key twice for Mode 1 systems or three times for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:

Speaker Ring
(Mode 2

Allows you to disable incoming calls from ringing while on a call.

To Disable Speaker Ring:

  • 2-24-5Press FNC/CLEAR.
  • Enter 02. PSII displays:
  • Press F3 to disable speaker ring.

Keypad Lock

Allows you to carry your phone without fear that buttons may be inadvertently pushed, activating the phone.

2-25-1To Lock Keypad:

  • Press FNC/CLEAR.
  • Enter 04 or 05 for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:
  • Press F1 to lock keys.
  • Press L1 to enter. The keypad status icon will appear on the LCD display.NOTE: After locking the keypad keys, you can still receive incoming calls.

To Unlock Keypad:

  • Press FNC/CLEAR and hold it down for more than two seconds.***Mode 2 features are only available on NEAX2000 IVS Series 1900 software or NEAX2400 IMX Series 7300 software & Dterm PSII Version 7.00/Zone Transceiver Version 5.00 software or later.

Automatic Answer

Enables you to receive calls without first having to press the L1 or L2* button.

To Turn On Automatic Answer:

    • Press the FNC/CLEAR button.
    • 2-26-1Enter 06 or 07 for Mode 2* systems.
    • For Mode 2* systems, PSII displays:

    • Press F1.
  • Dial the number of seconds you want the phone to ring before the call is automatically answered from 0 to 20.
  • Press L1 to enter.

To Turn Off Automatic Answer

Headset Ring

When using a headset, allows your phone to ring through to your headset.

2-27-1To Turn On Headset Ring:

  • Press FNC/CLEAR.
  • Enter 07 or 08 for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:
  • Press F1 to turn on Headset Ring.
  • Press L1 to confirm.

To Turn On Automatic Headset Ring:

2-27-1Automatic headset ring causes your phone to ring automatically in the headset whenever a headset is plugged in.

Number Display

Display PSII extension when L1 or L2* is pressed.

Enables you to hear a beep as you press each key.

Key Light

Controls the back-lit display.

LED Flash

Controls LED Ring Indicator. Red Light indicates incoming call.

Trunk Ring

2-30-3Allows you to assign ring patterns that tell users whether an incoming call is from an internal or external source.

To Change the Trunk Ring Pattern:

  • 2-31-1Press FNC/CLEAR.
  • Enter 12 or 13 for Mode 2* systems.
  • For Mode 2* systems, PSII displays:
  • Press L1 or L2* to select line. PSII displays:
  • Press < or > keys to select different Trunk Ring pattern.

Station Ring

Allows you to assign ring patterns that tell users whether an incoming call is from an internal or external source.

2-31-2To Change the Station Ring Pattern:

  • Press FNC/CLEAR.
  • Enter 13 or 14 for Mode 2* systems.
  • For Mode 2* systems, PSII displays:2-31-1
  • Press L1 or L2* to select line. PSII displays:
  • Press < or > keys to select a different Station Ring pattern.

Service Alarm

Enables you to know when you are in an area without service, or if the battery is running low, or if you are approaching the eight-hour usage time-limit.

NOTE: By FCC regulation, a single conversation is limited to eight hours. Of course, you can always hang up and redial to continue your conversation if necessary.

  • Press FNC/CLEAR.
  • Enter 14 or 15 for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:
  • Press F1 to turn on Service Alarm.

Confirmation Tone

Enables you to hear a tone that let’s you know you’ve made an error or confirms that you entered information properly.

  • Press F1 to turn on Confirmation Tone.
  • Press L1 to confirm.

Answer Tone

Enables you to hear a warning tone for an incoming call before Auto Answer.

Modem Dial

With the optional PSII Modem cable, you can connect the PCs modem to the headset port of the PSII. The modem cable connects to the RJ-11 port on the modem and provides for up to 19.2Kbps access. The Modem dial function will enable the PCs modem to dial the phone number. If PC application is dialing the destination, you must set the application to dial without waiting for Dial Tone. The first digit sent by the modem will set Dterm PSII to off-hook and start dialed digits. Note that some modems/applications may not work properly.

NOTE: For Mode 2* systems, modem communications can take place on L1 only.

Call Forwarding Busy

Enables you to set the access code which is used to establish call forwarding when your line is busy.

To Set the Call Forwarding Busy Access Code:

    • 2-36-1Press FNC/CLEAR.
    • Enter 19 or 20 for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:
    • Press F1. PSII displays:

    Example: *3 = Call Forward Busy, SET.
  • Press L1 to enter

To Set the Call Forwarding Busy Cancel Access Code:

    • Press FNC/CLEAR.

Enables you to set the access code which is used to establish Call Forwarding when you do not answer the phone.

    • Press FNC/CLEAR.

Call Forwarding All

To set the access code to establish Call Forwarding for All Calls.

Call Forwarding No Response

To set the access code to establish call forwarding when the PSII is not within the wireless system service area or is turned off.

    • Press FNC/CLEAR.

Power On Message

2-41-1Allows you to set a message that displays as the PSII powers up.

To Set a Power On Message:

    • Press FNC/CLEAR.
    • 2-41-2Enter 23 or 24 for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:
    • Press F1 to set message. PSII displays:
  • Use the chart on the inside back flap to key in each letter that makes up the Power On Message. The Power On Message can have a maximum of 22 characters.
  • After you have keyed in the message, press L1 to enter.NOTE: You may wish to enter your name and phone number as the Power On message.

To Erase the Power On Message:

    • Press FNC/CLEAR.
    • 2-41-1Enter 23 or 24 for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:
    • Press F3.
  • The Power On Message is erased. The default Power On Message (“Please Wait”) now displays.

Password

2-42-1Enables you to set a password. Passwords are 4 characters long. The default password is 0000.

To Set Password:

    • 2-42-2Press FNC/CLEAR.
    • Enter 24 or 25 for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:
    • Press F1 to set a password. PSII displays:
  • Key in old password.
    • 2-42-3Press L1 to confirm old password. PSII displays:
  • Key in password.
    • Press L1 to enter the password.
  • Key in password a second time.
  • 2-42-1Press L1 to confirm.

To Cancel the Password:

    • Press FNC/CLEAR.
    • 2-42-1Enter 24 or 25 for Mode 2* systems. PSII displays:

Protect Directory

Enables you to protect the Directory so that even if you use Reset All, your Directory of names and phone numbers will not be erased.

To Turn On Protect Directory:

Allows you to reset your PSII to all the factory-set defaults.
